Chapter Two

Four books. Four completely different genres. A deeply researched reinterpretation of the Ramayana through astronomy and archaeology. A spiritual introduction blending Vedic wisdom with modern science. A veteran scholar's take on artificial intelligence and human dignity. And, for the first time, an eco-thriller - a genre Tejas has never assigned before.

Every year, Tejas hands its readers something different - a new genre, a new way in. And every year, they respond. That is the real proof of concept: Indic books written in English, across every genre imaginable, have come of age. They are not a niche interest anymore. They are grabbing the attention of young readers and holding it, book after book, year after year.

More than half of this year's authors are Indian-American - living proof that this body of work is being built here, now, by writers young readers can actually picture themselves becoming.
